The operation of the farm involves fencing repairs, hay making, and caring for livestock. The seasonal activities are hay making, shearing, and the marking and innoculation of lambs and calves.
Idlewild Park has significant areas of native bush growth not regularly visited by people. Many native animals and birds such as kangaroo, wombats, koala, echidna, cockatoos, parrots, blue wrens and robins etc are regularly seen on the property.
The farm stay will provide you with a memorable experience, it will bring you closer to the earth, the animals, the clear blue skies by day and the brilliant endless southern stars at night.
Idlewild Park is a real, operational farm. We hope you enjoy watching the activities that take place here. Whilst there is always poultry to feed, shearing is seasonal as is the viewing and feeding of calves and lambs.
